About Us

Learn about how our family built a business.

In 1977, Cold Spring Enterprises, Inc. was born. The business began in an old chicken house. Most of the work that was done in the early days of the business included repair work for local farmers, wrought iron railings, and custom metal fab–much of which dealt with the wood stove industry.

Our son, Wendell, joined CSE and created the beginning of a family business that has lasted to this day. Soon after Wendell joined the family business we decided to move to where we are now in South Carolina. That move brought with it, an additional effort to better meet the needs of our local community and to also reach out to the various industries and commercial businesses in our county and beyond. As a result, we began branching out into carport manufacturing and the light steel frame building industry, in general. This was brought in as additional work together with the existing metal fabrication side of CSE.

Currently, Wendell is the president of the company and continues the family legacy by working with two of his own sons and a nephew. With my presence, this creates a third generation and certainly qualifies CSE as a family business.

Other excellent employees have been added and are a welcomed addition to that enlarged “family” business atmosphere that reaches out into the community we serve in South Carolina.

The mission/goal of CSE is fourfold:

(1) To satisfy the needs of the customer audience that we work for.

(2) To manage a financially successful business on an annual basis.

(3) To use the God-given profit that CSE produces to honor and serve our God. This can be but is not limited to efforts for expansion, updating equipment, and supporting church missions and nonprofit ministries. This may and does include local and domestic projects and those in foreign countries.

(4) To allow you as a part of our customer base to have the feeling of also being a team member. All glory to God!

God has richly blessed us and we give Him all Honor and Praise. God is good and He is that all the time.
